Shaping cultures of equity, resilience and real leadership for change.
Sam is a specialist in inclusion and cultural transformation, known for her bold and compassionate approach to tackling structural inequity and enabling lasting change. With a particular emphasis on racial equity, Sam partners with senior leaders and boards to build the confidence, competence and strategic insight needed to lead inclusive, adaptive organisations — from the inside out.
Sam brings:
· Board-level expertise and strategic consultancy to organisations ready to move beyond performative inclusion and embed equity into their systems, leadership and culture
· Coaching and development for senior leaders and teams, with a focus on racial literacy, relational leadership, and navigating the discomfort and power dynamics that sit at the heart of real change
· A deep understanding of people and organisational systems, grounded in decades of experience across public, commercial and membership-based organisations
Whether working in complex environments or high-accountability roles, Sam is trusted to create honest, constructive space for reflection, challenge and movement. Her impact is rooted in practical results, personal integrity and a passion for fair access and sustainable inclusion.
Sam serves as an Associate Non-Executive Director with the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, and is a board advisor to both the Black Professional Network and Inclusive Companies network. She is a member of the Seacole Group, the national network for Black and Minority Ethnic NHS Non-Executive Directors.
Her work has been recognised with multiple awards, including the Queen’s Award for Volunteering, several national diversity accolades, and recognition for excellence in charity governance and inclusive leadership.
Sam is a core contributor to the organisation’s Inclusion, Diversity and Culture group, where she helps shape practice that connects social justice, organisational wellbeing and systemic transformation.
Outside work, Sam is a proud mother of three and grandmother to an “absolutely amazing” six-year-old. She also happens to hold a Certificate in Professional Competence for operating a heavy goods fleet — proof that her journey has always defied expectation.
If you’re looking for someone who can hold space for tough conversations, unlock courageous leadership, and guide lasting cultural change — Sam brings credibility, heart, and powerful clarity to the work.
